Women-focused community gaming platform the*gamehers and online crypto betting platform Thunderpick announced Friday the launch of the Pink Picks campaign, an initiative aimed at supporting and highlighting women within its community

Pink Picks will highlight the “gameher of the Week”, featured in the*gamehers “Pink Pixels” weekly livestream. Those people highlighted are nominated by the community for being “exceptional female gamers,” deserving of recognition. Winners will have their accomplishments highlighted during the broadcast and receive a swag bag from Thunderpick, filled with travel items, tech items, and a variety of gaming accessories, according to a release.

“We’re excited to continue our mission to elevate women in gaming through education, opportunities, and entrepreneurship through the Pink Pixels platform,” says Allie Young, President of the*gamehers.

Pink Picks is part of the partnership between the two organizations signed in late-January, and a component of a broader collaboration that includes other efforts to promote women in competitive gaming.

Another component is the Thunderpick FemaLED Tournament, a competitive event tailored for women-led teams in Counter-Strike 2. This tournament aims to showcase the talent and competitive nature of women, but also offers them a chance to progress to a bigger competition, with the winners moving on to compete in the Thunderpick World Championship 2024 North American Qualifiers

Featuring a modest $5K USD pool provided by Thunderpick, the tournament will be broadcast across multiple streaming platforms and will feature an in-person watch party to be held at the Momocon convention in Atlanta, Georgia, on May 27.
