Galaxy Racer Squares Up With Last Her Galaxy Employees

Sources tell The Esports Advocate that Dubai-based Galaxy Racer (GXR) has paid North American (HER Galaxy) employees who were laid off last week all of the back payments it owed including salary and paid time off (PTO). Sources tell us that the company made a total of three rounds of payments since it announced that it would be shutting down its operations in North America, with the most recent being related to PTO.

All that remains to to do is for now former HER Galaxy employees to return company equipment, according to what we have been told.

Following the publication of our story about the closure of GXR’s U.S. operations on Nov. 30., sources confirmed with TEA that GXR headquarters wired its first payment to employees on or around the same day.

The only remaining order of business for GXR as it relates to HER Galaxy is paying out the winners of the HER Galaxy $100K Apex Legends Open (see screenshot below) that took place in June. The company has told other publications such as the Esports Insider that it will pay those winners on time per its contract terms with players, putting the deadline for those payouts at on or around Dec. 23.
