On July 12, Los Angeles-based esports organization Sentinels announced reservations (or as it called it, a “test the waters phase”) for a crowdfunding investment campaign on equity crowdfunding platform StartEngine. Satisfied with the response, Sentinels announced on Friday evening a formal listing of the company on StartEngine.

Those interested in backing the company as part of this campaign can make  a minimum investment of $300 USD, with reward tiers at $500+ getting an “entry-level reward” alongside non-voting common stock in the company.

Investors joining the campaign at $500 will receive an “authentic pro jersey alongside equity in the company,” with higher levels offering perks such as, direct access to  management of the company, a chance to meet the Sentinels teams in-person with a paid trip to Los Angeles, and other exclusive rewards.

According to the funding page, Sentinels is valued at $30.9M and is looking to sell around 4% of its equity. The minimum investment buy-in through StartEngine is roughly $300. The campaign has raised $41,414.97, as of this writing.

Sentinels fields competitive rosters in franchised and non-franchised leagues including Valorant, Apex Legends, and Halo. It is also the home to several content creators such as for CS:GO pro Tarik Celik, Brandon “Aceu” Winn, Jared “Zombs” Gitlin, and Daphne “39Daph” Wai.
