Bangalore, India-based esports organization Gods Reign has named India-based advertising firm Times OOH as the title sponsor for its team currently participating in BGMI Masters Series 2023 (BGMS).

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Under the terms of this new partnership, Gods Reign and Times OOH will be launching a billboard initiative across multiple cities in the country including Delhi and Bangalore. Times OOH is a major out-of-home (OOH, also called “outdoor advertising) in India, holding a 24% of the market share in the country, according to a release. Gods Reign says that it will use this initiative to further leverage sponsorships and target non-gaming and esports related demographics. Times OOH will also hold the “title spot” on Gods Reign’s team jersey for BGMS Season 2.

Global Esports also announced this week that it has secured a partnership with smart wearable devices and audio brand NUMBER.

Financial terms for this partnership were not disclosed, and details were pretty thin on what NUMBER will do in terms of activations and marketing-related activities for the organization. NUMBER will serve as a title partner for the organization and its logo will appear on Global Esports team jerseys. Global Esports won Season One of BGMS last year.

Global Esports and Gods Reign are two of the 24 teams that received a direct invite to the BGMS 2023 LAN tournament, which is being broadcast on Star Sports and on streaming platform Rooter. BGMS 2023, which is being operated by NODWIN Gaming, began on Aug. 4, with week one and two leading into playoffs Aug. 22 – 23, and a grand final LAN event running from Aug. 25 – 27.
