International esports organization Gen.G Esports announced this week that it has partnered with Idahoan Foods to promote its new snack brand, Idahoan Potato Shreds.
Financial terms of this deal were not disclosed.
As part of the deal, Gen.G will promote the brand at several events including PAX West, DreamHack Atlanta, PAX East, and C2E2 through a “gamified” Idahoan Potato Shreds booth on show floors.
These booths will feature gaming creators Stanz and Raynday, meet-and-greets, and photo ops with fans on the Idahoan Potato Shreds couch potato (which we assume will be shaped like a potato, which would be very on-brand). Fans will also have the opportunity to play the game Overcooked against Stanz and Raynday on the Nintendo Switch for a chance to win prizes, get a first-look at Gen.G creators filming content, crowd giveaways for gaming gear and snack packs, and free Shreds product samples for booth visitors.
Idahoan Foods joins other Geng.G sponsors and partners including LG, McDonald’s, Eastern Michigan University, University of Kentucky, SIDIZ, Exxon Mobil, Monster Energy, Puma, ROCCAT, and Procter & Gamble.
PAX West takes place on Sept. 1-4 in Seattle, DreamHack Atlanta is set for Dec. 15-17, PAX East in Boston will take place March 21-24, 2024, and C2E2 is set for April 26-28, 2024 in Chicago.
