Fabio Tambosi has joined international tournament operator ESL FACEIT Group (EFG) as its new senior vice president of marketing, the company announced via social media on Tuesday. Prior to joining EFG, Tambosi served as senior VP of global marketing at Berlin-based sports media company OneFootball for more than a year.
Tambosi is a seasoned veteran who began his professional career way back in 2003. He has held marketing and PR roles at major companies and brands including Adidas, Nike, Nokia, and IBM, among others, for more than two decades.
In his new role at EFG, Tambosi will be in charge of “leading all marketing globally” as a member of the commercial leadership team at EFG, according to CCO Rodrigo Samwell.
EFG is part of Savvy Gaming Group, which has investments in some of the biggest esports and gaming companies in the world. The group is backed by the Saudi Government’s billion-dollar rich Public Investment Fund, which has been used to acquire holdings in sports, gaming, and entertainment companies throughout the world. EFG recently acquired Vindex, a U.S.-based esports company that also owns Esports Engine, one of the top esports production companies in the world, for an undisclosed amount of money.
