Riot Games announced over the weekend that the League of Legends World Championship (Worlds 2023) is set to take place in Busan and Seoul, South Korea, beginning in October. From Oct. 10 – Nov. 19, teams will be traveling to Seoul, Busan, and back to Seoul for the World Championship.

The Play-In Stage will take place Oct. 10-15 at LoL Park in Seoul, followed by a Swiss Stage Oct. 19-23 and Oct. 26-29, at the KBS Arena in Seoul. Knockouts will feature Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and Finals: Quarterfinals will be held Nov. 2-5, while Semifinals will take place Nov. 11-12—both taking place in Sajik Indoor Gymnasium in Busan. The World Final will be held on Nov. 19, at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul, the largest indoor venue in the country.

Riot noted in its announcement that the “World Final has been scheduled later than usual to support the 19th Asian Games being held September 23-October 8 in Hangzhou, China” because League of Legends and six other esports titles will be featured as medal events for the first time—this is meant to “accommodate our LoL Esports pro players competing in the Asian Games,” Riot said.

Play-In Stage tickets will go on sale July 10, followed by Swiss Stage tickets on July 19, and Knockout Stage tickets August 2.
