Riot Games announced Thursday a partnership with movie theater chain Piece of Magic Entertainment to present the League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC) Spring, Summer, and Season Finals in cinemas across Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The partnership will officially commence the Spring Finals on April 23, which will be shown at select Piece of Magic cinemas across the EMEA region. A full list of participating cinemas can be found at lolincinemas.com, “with more countries and locations added for the Summer and Season Finals in due course,” according to a release.
These “watch parties” will be hosted in “up to 70 territories” throughout the EMEA region, according to Riot Games.
