BITKRAFT announced this week that Jin Oh has joined the VC firm as a partner and Jonathan Huang as a principal.
Oh has held executive roles at SK Telecom, Riot Games (during two different stints at the company), and Blizzard Entertainment, among others. He also served as CEO of Free Fire maker Garena, and is currently the founder and managing director of Gamestarr.
Huang has served in executive roles at Deutsche Bank and Singapore-based investment company Temasek. He currently serves as digital media investments principal at Garena parent company SEA LTD.
These new appointments represent a larger push into Asia, according to the investment firm—who gained prominence for its early investments in esports—but in recent years has changed focus to wider game-related investments. The company has $600M USD in managed funds, according to Pitchbook.
Both Oh and Huang will remain headquartered in South Korea and Singapore, respectively.
