Major League Baseball (MLB) team the Kansas City Royals announced Wednesday that it has partnered with the Kansas City Pioneers.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Last year, the Royals and Pioneers worked together to host a practice event for professional teams ahead of the Halo Championship Series tournament at the MLB team’s home venue, Kauffman Stadium. This year both organizations will partner for a “gamer night” activation at the stadium, ongoing community initiatives, and other initiatives for the Kansas City community.
The Pioneers currently compete in the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS), Apex Legends, and eNASCAR through iRacing. The Royals join other partners and sponsors of the organization including G FUEL, Price Chopper, Boys & Girls Club of Kansas City, Logitech G, and SCUF Gaming.
