Enthusiast Gaming Names Nick Brien CEO

Enthusiast Gaming Holdings (NASDAQ:EGLX; TSX:EGLX) announced Wednesday that Nick Brien has been appointed as the new chief executive officer of global operations. Brien, who will be based in Los Angeles, replaces Adrian Montgomery, who has served as CEO of Enthusiast Gaming since 2019. As previously announced, Montgomery will move to a new role as chairman of the company’s board of directors.

Brien comes from ad tech company Amobee, where he served as the company’s CEO. Prior to that, Brien was the  Americas CEO of digital marketing a media network Dentsu. Over the last three decades Brien has held executive roles as Microsoft, General Motors, Procter & Gamble, American Express, ABI, Heineken, Intel, McCann Worldgroup, iCrossing, Hearst Magazines Marketing Services, IPG Mediabrands, and many other companies.

Enthusiast Gaming manages the Vancouver Titans and Seattle Surge through a contract with owners Aquilini Investment Group, and owns  a number of esports and gaming media properties including Luminosity Gaming,  Storied, Addicting Games, Pocket Gamer, The Sims Resource, UGG, Arcade Cloud, Fantasy Football Scout, Wisecrack, BCC, and many others.

Last week the company was named the #1 gaming property for unique visitor traffic in the United States, based on the January 2023 rankings for digital media ratings compiled by media research firm Comscore. The company was also ranked the #3 fastest growing property on Comscore’s Top 100 list.
