Riot Games announced Wednesday that the Mid-Season Invitational will be hosted at London’s Copperbox Arena in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The arena, which was built in 2012 to host the Olympic Games, is capable of seating 7,000 spectators, depending on configuration. Riot announced back in January that the MSI would be hosted in London.
The 2023 Mid-Season Invitational will run from May 2 – 21, with the play-in stage taking place May 2-7, a bracket stage from May 9-14 and May 16-20, and the final on May 21.
Tickets for the League of Legends esports event will go on sale at 10:00 a.m. GMT on Feb. 23, with a presale for Mastercard on Feb 21 at 10:00 a.m.GMT. Ticket prices will range from £24 – £94 ($29.03 – $113.68 USD).
Ticketing information for MSI can be found here.
Riot laid out the format for MSI in January: The number of participating teams will increase from 11 to 13, who will compete in two double-elimination stages: Play-In and Bracket. Play-Ins will feature eight teams, with two seed teams from LEC, LCS and LPL, and one seed team from LLA, CBLOL, PCS, VCS, and LJL. “LCK 2” will go straight into the Bracket Stage as the 2022 Worlds winners. The eight seeded teams will be divided into two groups of four to compete in best-of-three, double elimination matches, with each group (and the winner of a last chance qualification match between the two lower bracket winners), will move on to the Bracket Stage to join the five qualified teams.
