The League of Legends Championship Korea (LCK) has named Group ONE Holdings’ subsidiary ONE Esports as the official media partner of the league. This marks the second consecutive year that the Singapore-based esports media company has partnered with the LCK—it was named official media partner in June of 2022.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Like last year, ONE Esports will create and distribute content from the 2023 LCK season, which officially kicked off earlier this month.
ONE Esports joins a number of other sponsors (many of whom are returning for 2023) including bb.q Chicken, Tiffany & Co., LG, OMEN by HP, Seoul-based esports analytics firm OP.GG, jw, Logitech G, Secretlab, and South Korean cinema chain CJ CGV.
The LCK will serve an extra important role for LoL Esports in 2023—and not only because it is the home of the 2022 Worlds Championship team DRX and runner-up T1. Riot Games announced on Jan. 10, that the 2023 League of Legends World Championship (Worlds) will be held in Seoul, South Korea, at the end of this year.
