League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC) announced Saturday that automobile manufacturer Kia will continue to serve as the league’s official main automotive partner. As per usual, financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. This marks the fifth year that the LEC and Kia have worked together—in fact Kia was the first partner to sign with the European league when it was rebranded in 2018.
This year Kia will continue the weekly Mic Check series (capturing key team moments for viewers) and offer in-game giveaways, according to the announcement. The Kia logo will also be prominently displayed during live broadcasts and in-game during competitions.
Earlier this week the LEC announced that LG’s latest UltraGear gaming monitor reference had signed on as the official display of the league for the 2023 season.
The LEC has not announced all of its key sponsors for the 2023 season, but with competition starting later today we expect to find out more. LEC competition will be broadcast on lolesports.com and official YouTube and Twitch channels.
