Jordan Sherman No Longer CEO of Immortals

The Esports Advocate can confirm that Jordan Sherman is no longer the CEO of esports organization Immortals Gaming Club. His departure from the company was first reported by Digiday esports reporter Alexander Lee on Monday. The report claims that Sherman was pushed out officially on Dec. 22, based on conversations Lee had with three former Immortals staffers who asked not to be identified.

TEA has reached out to Immortals and Jordan Sherman for comment and will update this story when more information becomes available.

It is unclear as of this writing if Sherman’s exit was amicable or if Immortals pushed him out, and it is also unknown who has taken his place as CEO, though, as Digiday’s reporting notes, Ari Segal is a likely candidate because he served in the role prior to Sherman and he is still currently serving as an executive chairman and co-managing director of the company.

Sherman joined Immortals in May 2021 as president and chief commercial officer, but was quickly (five months later) promoted to CEO in September of that year. Prior to joining Immortals, Sherman spent three years at Gen.G esports in multiple roles including head of revenue and later chief revenue officer. Gen.G marked Sherman’s entry into the business of esports; prior to that he worked for the NBA’s LA Clippers, Major League Baseball, and New York-based law firm Baker Hostetler.
