Guild Esports Promotes Jasmine Skee to CEO

Publicly-traded esports organization Guild Esports (LSE:GILD, OTCQB:GULDF) announced Tuesday three new hires and a promotion that it says will strengthen its senior leadership.

First, Chief Marketing Officer Jasmine Skee has been promoted to CEO. She joined the company in March of 2022 from Snap, Inc. Prior to Snap, she worked for Harvey Nichols, Three, Telefónica UK, Live Nation Entertainment, Archibald Ingall Stretton, Sony Ericsson, and many other companies in the UK in various senior marketing roles. Skee replaces Guild CEO and co-founder Kal Hourd, who announced in December that he would leave the company at the beginning of 2023.

Joining the company is Luke Jones, who will take on the role of director of esports and gaming—he comes from Formula One team Red Bull Racing, where he served as esports manager. Nick Westwood joins Guild Esports as its new senior vice president of creative and strategy—Westwood most recently worked at RYFX Media. Finally, Georgia Morison joins the company as the new head of events and HQ—he joins the company from O2 Arena in London where he served as head of premium services.

Guild Esports said in a release that these new appointments will enhance the company’s growth this year, with a focus on “grassroots development, expanding the fan and audience base, and establishing the Sky Guild Gaming Center as a premium location for esports and corporate events.”
