Berlin-based esports organization G2 Esports announced the appointment of Alban Dechelotte as its permanent chief executive officer. Dechelotte has been serving as interim CEO since the resignation of former CEO and Founder Carlos ‘Ocelote’ Rodriguez in late September. G2 Esports also announced that Sabrina Ratih has joined the company as its new chief operating officer and Philippe Adam has been officially named the new chief financial officer.

Dechelotte joined G2 Esports in April 2021 from Riot Games where he spent more than three years in various business development roles including head of partnerships & business development for EMEA. Prior to that he worked at Coca-Cola and Havas Sports & Entertainment France.

Ratih joins G2 Esports from Red Bull Media House where she spent nearly seven years as an executive handling marketing efforts for the company–she joined the company January 2011 as an intern and worked her way up to an executive position during that time. Prior to that she spent more than four years as a marketing specialist at Henry Lambertz GmbH & Co KG.

Finally, Adam joined G2 Esports in June of 2022 and appears to have been in the role since then, but today’s announcement appears to make it official, or at least highlight that he is an important pillar of G2 Esports’ leadership team. Prior to joining G2 Esports, Adam worked at Deva Capital, Morgan Stanley, Oak Hill Capital Partners, and Georgetown University, among other places.
