Los Angeles-based scholastic and grassroots esports company PlayVS announced Monday a strategic partnership with Omnic.AI, a self-service, AI-focused, game performance platform.

Financial terms and duration of this new partnership were not disclosed.

According to a release, “Omnic.AI uses AI and machine learning to gather insights and perform a detailed analysis of gameplay for users.” Under the terms of this deal, players within the PlayVS middle and high school competitive ecosystems will get free access to Omnic Forge, the company’s flagship product.

Players will be able to upload “unlimited matches” and receive analysis and insights into their gameplay. PlayVS will also assist in the “initial training” of coaches that operate scholastic programs in North America that are part of its ecosystem.

Students 13+ years old can sign up for Omnic Forge.

We’re excited to collaborate with PlayVS to bring our gaming analysis capabilities to a broader audience,” said Shaun Meredith, Omnic.AI co-founder and CEO. “This partnership aligns perfectly with our mission to help gamers improve their skills, win more games, and have fun.”

The platform currently supports Valorant, Fortnite, Rocket League, and Overwatch 2, with support for Madden NFL 24 coming soon.

In November 2023, PlayVS shifted from a pay-to-play model to a sponsorship and partnership supported model. That shift to free competition aligned with PlayVS CEO Jon Chapman’s new broader vision for the company—he joined PlayVS in June 2023, replacing PlayVS VP of Finance Joe Gibson, who was serving as interim CEO following founder and CEO Delane Parnell stepping down from the role at the beginning of May 2023.
