Riot Games announced Wednesday that payment processing company Paysafe (NYSE: PSFE) has been named the main partner of Valorant Champions Tour EMEA (VCT EMEA) and Valorant Game Changers EMEA until the end of 2025.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Under the terms of this partnership, Paysafe’s paysafecard solution, will be promoted during broadcasts, in the Riot Games Arena in Berlin, and VCT EMEA social media channels for the remainder of the 2024 and 2025 VCT EMEA and Valorant Game Changers EMEA seasons. Fans attending events in Berlin will also be offered “special promotions to try out paysafecard for cash purchases in their favorite games,” including Valorant.
Paysafe’s paysafecard will also work with Riot to showcase the special in-game segment called THRIFTY, by “calling out teams that win a save round against teams who invested significantly more into the round,” according to a release. Finally, paysafecard will present a VCT EMEA Stage 2 Grand Final short-form video content series covering player and talent predictions, analyses, and highlights of the best moments from the Finals.
VCT 2024: EMEA Stage 2 is currently underway, with the Group stage concluding Thursday (July 11), and the Playoffs running from July 15 – 20. The final teams will play for VCT EMEA points and a piece of a $250K USD prize pool, with the overall winner taking home $100K.
