Independently owned and operated Call of Duty competition-focused media platform Breaking Point officially announced Wednesday the BP Awards, in conjunction with popular CoD news and commentary channel, The Flank.

Breaking Point describes the BP Awards as creator- and community-led accolades to honor the best in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 competitive scene.

The process will include participation from the community, and a panel made up of Call of Duty League coaches, professional CDL players, and content creators from OpTic, The Flank, Breaking Point, and select members of the Call of Duty media.

The community awards will include:

  • Best Play of the Year
  • Best Map of the Year
  • Streaming Moment of the Year
  • Social Team of the Year

An additional eight categories will be determined by community vote and the BP Awards panel:

  • Rookie of the Year
  • Season MVP
  • AR Player of the Year
  • SMG Player of the Year
  • Objective Player of the Year
  • Hardpoint Player of the Year
  • SND Player of the Year
  • Control Player of the Year

Finally, Breaking Point and The Flank will select four award winners in the following categories (following the 2024 Call of Duty League Championship weekend taking place July 18 – 21, in Allen, Texas, at the Credit Union of Texas Events Center):

  • Champs MVP
  • Best Champs Map
  • Clutch Player of the Year
  • The Flank Guest of the Year

The awards will be integrated into ZooMaa’s Twitch stream, through Breaking Points’ channels, and The Flank, and will feature talent from Breaking Point, The Flank, and the Call of Duty community. The Breaking Point Awards show will be streamed on both Twitch and YouTube on Aug. 2, with a preview event taking place on July 26. Those interested in voting can do so here.

Breaking Point is a leading source for competitive Call of Duty news, content, statistics, and more, and creates weekly content through its YouTube channel. Created by Call of Duty content creator and streamer Thomas “ZooMaa” Paparatto (who is also a FaZe Clan content creator), The Flank is the most popular Call of Duty competitive news and commentary show in the world and regularly features popular CoD personalities such as Octane, ACHES, Parasite, and BenJNissim, among others.
