Red Bull Levels to Host Preview Event for Elden Ring DLC

Red Bull announced Thursday that its Red Bull Levels content series will team up with publisher BANDAI NAMCO once again to present a world-exclusive showcase of the soon-to-be-released Elden Ring DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree. The event will take place June 15 at the Atelier Gardens in Berlin, Germany, and will include YouTube and Twitch streamers for a live-streamed showcase ahead of the DLC’s official worldwide release. AGON by AOC will return as the official monitor partner for the event as well.

The Red Bull Levels event will be live-streamed on the official Red Bull Gaming Twitch channel and co-streamed by top content creators at 18:00 CEST (17:00 BST / 09:00 PST / 12:00 EST) on June 15. Keltoum “Giniro” Baddaje, Alex “Otzdarva,” and Nico “Dinossindgeil” will also take part in the event, according to a release, and co-stream the event to their communities on Twitch/YouTube.

Red Bull Levels hosted a similar event for Elden Ring in February 2022, prior to the release of the game.

It is not hyperbole to say that the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC is highly anticipated, as Elden Ring is developer FromSoftware’s best-selling title to date, having sold roughly 23M copies worldwide on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC platforms, and has the distinction of winning more than 300 awards following its release in 2022.

While it may not be widely known, Elden Ring has its own small competitive community on Twitch and YouTube, that competes in tournaments such as Bingo Brawlers, a randomized contest between two teams (two players per team) who try to be the first to compete objectives on a “bingo card”); and Zero Hit League, where participants try to make it through the game without taking any damage from an enemy. These competitions are mostly held among top Elden Ring content creators and speed runners such as GinoMachino, LilAggy, Domo, Bushy, ItsCBD, and many others.

Shadow of the Erdtree—which releases June 21 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and Series S, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows–provides a whole new area in the Elden Ring for players to explore with new bosses, eight new weapon types, more than 100 new weapons, new spells and incantations, new gameplay elements exclusively used in the DLC area, new enemies and bosses, new legacy dungeons, and plenty of sidequests and field bosses to tackle. More details about the game can be found in this video from a recent press event.
