Amouranth Buys Into Wildcard Gaming

Amouranth becomes a co-owner of Wildcard Gaming

Kaitlyn Siragusa, better known in streaming circles as Amouranth, has made an investment in Houston, Texas-based esports organization Wildcard Gaming for an undisclosed amount, officially becoming a co-owner.

The news was revealed by Amouranth in a video posted on social media:

Separately, Wildcard Gaming Chief Operations Officer and Co-Founder Ben Merritt announced Amouranth as a new co-owner on LinkedIn.

On Friday afternoon, Merritt explained Amouranth’s level of ownership in the company to The Esports Advocate:

“She now holds an equal share of ownership in the organization as the other owners within the walls here at Wildcard,” he said. “We wanted to ensure she felt truly like a decision maker at the company and not just a figurehead.”

Merritt added that she will be an important part of the company’s decision-making process going forward, and will use her sizable social media footprint and online celebrity status to promote the team’s efforts and milestones:

“She will be involved in many of our decisions, outside of player personnel,” he told us.” She will also watch party our teams for big games and moments, attend major events that our teams qualify for too. Examples being R6’s Majors or SI. Counter-Strike Majors etc. She will be involved with team meet and greets and signing sessions for events that our team and Kaitlyn attends. We will also have a focus on women’s esports in the future.”

Finally, Merritt told TEA that this investment from Amouranth was important for its ongoing growth, particularly after spending the last several years surviving and being in a better position than a lot of other esports organizations around the world:

“Coming out of the last few years, having survived one of the most difficult times in the industry’s young history, we found ourselves in a better position than most. We wanted to continue to drive growth for our fans and organization as a whole and felt the best way to break through was aligning ourselves with a creator who shared our business mindset. It was also important to align ourselves with someone who can represent our hometown of Houston. After evaluating quite a few potential talents, we landed on Kaitlyn for the exact reasons mentioned above.

“Kaitlyn is one of the hardest-working individuals in the industry. She has a great business mindset and team around her. We are very excited to welcome her to our team and excited for our future.”

Founded in 2017, Houston-based Wildcard Gaming focuses a majority of its attention on competing in Rainbow Six Siege and Counter-Strike 2. Earlier this month the company rebranded (as seen above) for the second time since its launch.

Amouranth currently streams on Kick where she has 240.8K followers; she also has 715K followers on Instagram, 3.7M followers on Twitter, 1.7M followers on OnlyFans competitor Fansly, 41K fans on LoyalFans, 6.1M followers on Twitch, and 996K subscribers on YouTube.
