2024 LCS Championship to be held at the YouTube Theater in LA

Riot Games announced Tuesday that the 2024 LCS Championship will take place Sept. 6 – 7, at the YouTube Theater (Hollywood Park) in Los Angeles, California. Approximately 5,000 seats will be available, with Mastercard customers gaining access to presale tickets on June 27, at 10 am PT/1 pm ET; and general sale tickets available at 10 am PT/1 pm ET on June 28.

With the LCS Championship becoming the Americas Championship in 2025 (details on that here), this will be the last time fans can enjoy a championship dedicated solely to LCS (North American League of Legends esports).

The Championship will be supported by LCS partners including AT&T (serving as the presenting partner of LCS Fan Fest), Mastercard (the presenting partner of the LCS Opening Ceremony), Kia (the presenting partner of LCS MVP Award), and others including Samsung, Red Bull, Secretlab, Pagoda, and Sleeper, among others.

Riot noted in its announcement that more information activities related to the LCS Championship “will be shared in the coming weeks.”

The news is bittersweet for fans in North America following Riot’s announcement earlier this month that it would combine North American and South American leagues in 2025. Under the new structure, North America and South America LoL leagues will fall under the new Americas League, divided into the North Conference and the South Conference.

Americas League North Conference will include North American LCS teams and Latin America North—teams from Liga Latinoamérica (LLA) that are closer to the United States. The North Conference will have a total of eight teams, with six existing teams from LCS; one team from LLA (northern LATAM), and one guest spot for a tier-2 guest team. Matches will be played out of the Riot Studios in Los Angeles.

The South Conference will have a total of eight teams; six existing teams from Campeonato Brasileiro de League of Legends (CBLoL) in Brazil, one team from Latin America South (LLA) that is in proximity to Brazil, and one tier-2 guest spot. The South Conference will play at the Riot Studios in São Paulo.
