Paris-based esports organization Team Vitality announced Monday that it has acquired the women’s Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) roster of  Indonesian team Bigetron Era.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

That MLBB roster includes Vivi “Vivian” Indrawaty, Venny “Fumi” Lim, Viorelle “Vival” Chen, Cindy “Cinny” Siswanto, Michele “Chel” Siswanto, coach Ilham “Susugajah” Hadi, and analyst Dewa “Dewa” Fabian.

The team most recently won WSL Season 8, which earned them a spot in the Esports World Cup hosted in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia this summer. Over the last three years, the team won more than 20 trophies, with back-to-back Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Women’s Championship titles, and a gold medal for their home country of Indonesia during the official SEA Games 2023.

MLBB publisher Moonton Games also recently invited the team to participate in the franchise league, which will allow them to compete in the upcoming MDL Season 10 against other top Indonesian teams. This is the first all-women’s team to join the MPL ecosystem.

“We are thrilled to announce the integration of Bigetron Era into Team Vitality, marking a significant strategic move for us. It’s an immense honor to welcome one of the world’s premier teams, regardless of gender, into our family. This partnership primes us for success at the Esports World Cup, and also presents a golden opportunity to make waves in key markets like Indonesia and mobile gaming. Team Vitality is committed to promoting women’s esports, and we’re honored to support and collaborate with such a talented team.” said Fabien ‘Neo’ Devide, co-founder and chairman of Team Vitality.

In its announcement, Team Vitality says that acquiring this team is a “major asset in terms of the EWC Club Championship in which Team Vitality will be competing for a total of $20,000,000 prize pool.

The new MLBB team represents the second all-women’s roster under the auspices of Team Vitality; they join Rising Bees, a League of Legends all-women team that was launched in February 2023.

Team Vitality currently competes in League of Legends, Starcraft II, Counter-Strike 2, Rocket League, EA Sports FC 24, and Valorant and claims a community of more than 12M fans across all social media platforms.
