Financial terms of the deals were not disclosed.
Under the terms of these deals, NODWIN will have exclusive rights to host GEF events in “much of Asia,” the African continent, and the Middle East. The portfolio management company agreement will also allow NODWIN to operate events in other regions on a non-exclusive basis through its subsidiaries and strategic partners including Germany-based Freaks 4U Gaming, and Turkey-based Ninja Gaming.
“The world of esports is evolving towards [a] true global celebration of esports titles across the world. GEF truly epitomizes the hopes and aspirations of all the developing world markets that NODWIN seeks to develop,” noted Akshat Rathee, co-founder and managing director of NODWIN Gaming. “We believe our partnership with GEF will bring the best of esports opportunities to the youth of the emerging world.”
Cinematic has not produced an esports- or gaming-related event as far as we know, but the company has worked with some of the biggest brands in the world, including Amazon, Twitter, Warner Bros., Uber, Playboy, Ferrari, Porsche, Pandora, VIZIO, Maxim, and many others. Despite a formal announcement Monday, Cinematic was officially appointed as PMC in January and has already begun “extensive planning work in the North American market.”
“We are privileged to represent the Global Esports Federation in North America and are committed to leveraging our expertise in media and entertainment to elevate the esports experience for fans across the continent,” noted Dylan Marer, CEO and executive producer at Cinematic. “Together with the GEF, we aim to redefine the esports landscape and inspire the next generation of gamers.”
