International tournament organizer BLAST announced Monday that major esports events for Fortnite and Rocket League will be heading to Fort Worth, Texas, in September. Both in-person, championship events—Fortnite Battle Royale Global Championship and Rocket League World Championship—will take place at the Dickies Arena in Fort Worth.

From Sept. 7-8, BLAST will host the in-person FNCS Global Championship, which will feature 50 of the top Fortnite Competitive duos in the world, competing for a share of the $2M USD total prize pool. Details on qualifiers, format, and key dates for the Global Championship can be found in this FNCS 2024 blog post. Details on in-person tickets will be revealed at a later date on the Fortnite Competitive website and social media channels.

The RLCS World Championship 2024 will also be held in Fort Worth, running from Sept. 10-15, with the finals taking place at the Dickies Arena on Sept. 13-15 in front of a live audience. The Rocket League World Championship features the top 16 international teams and a $1.165M prize pool. Rocket League World Championship 2024 qualification, format, and key dates can be found in the 2024 season announcement blog

Fort Worth was chosen as the location through a deal with BLAST, Rocket League Esports, and Fortnite Competitive working with the Fort Worth Sports Commission, “an international sports destination agency,” and C3 Presents, “Texas’ leading event promotion companies,” to support and promote “both events coming to Fort-Worth, Texas in September 2024,” according to a release.

BLAST secured the rights to operate Fortnite and Rocket League esports through a multi-year deal with Epic Games that was announced in January.
