Riot Games announced Tuesday evening that it has signed an agreement with PC manufacturer HP for its PC gaming brand OMEN by HP and its gaming peripheral brand HyperX to serve as global technology partner across its esports ecosystem. Announced in Las Vegas during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the new deal will see the HP brands working together with League of Legends esports, Valorant Champions Tour (VCT), and Teamfight Tactics esports. The company’s associated esports program for Wild Rift was not included in the deal.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
Under the terms of this expanded and extended deal, HP will serve as a global technology partner, providing hardware and technology solutions to power “many aspects of the Riot Games experience,” according to a release. Riot also noted in its release that it will work with HP and its brands to create new gaming products, technical innovations, and co-branded marketing campaigns.
In addition, OMEN by HP and HyperX will support LoL esports, VCT, and TFT esports at all global events through digital and on-site event activations and fan engagement activities, as well as branded segments and product placement throughout the competition.
