Riot Games announced Friday that LG UltraGear has renewed its partnership with League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC) for another two years, and returns as the official monitor partner for the 2024 season of League of Legends esports in Europe. This news marks the third year that the LG monitor brand has worked with Riot in the region.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Under the terms of this expanded and extended partnership, LEC players and casters will use the new UltraGear – 25GR75FG gaming monitor, which promises users “an IPS display with a 360Hz refresh rate and 1-millisecond Gray-to-Gray (GTG) response time,” according to a release. In cooperation with Riot, LG UltraGear also recently introduced a League of Legends-themed OLED gaming monitor (model 27GR95QL) offering a “unique ‘League of Legends’ aesthetic,” and a “240Hz refresh rate.”

In addition to its products being used during LEC competitions, LG UltraGear will sponsor in-game replays, partake in activations, and have its branding appear during broadcasts, on social media, and in LEC-related content.

LG Ultragear joins Kia, who Riot also announced on Friday as a returning sponsor of the league until the end of 2026. Friday’s news follows the announcement earlier this week that Kia America had signed on as a main partner for the North American League of Legends esports league—the League of Legends Championship Series—for 2024. In addition, Kia America and North American esports organization NRG Esports announced this week that its LCS team would be renamed “NRG Kia League.”

The LEC 2024 season officially kicks off on Saturday (Jan. 13) with the 2024 LEC Winter Split.
