Los Angeles-based esports organization NRG Esports announced Thursday that it has partnered with U.S.-based broadband communications company Spectrum to power its gaming headquarters in Los Angeles.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Under the terms of the partnership, NRG’s downtown LA compound, the NRG Castle, will be powered by Spectrum’s broadband network and has been officially renamed the “NRG Spectrum Castle.”

Fully revealed in September of 2020, the $10M USD, 20,000 square foot NRG Spectrum Castle is a multi-use space—or a “gaming fantasy factory” as the company calls it—capable of hosting events, parties, tournaments, and serving as a hub for company activations, content creation, concerts, and more.

“From our banger concerts and holiday parties to tournaments, daily content curation and wacky challenge videos, the NRG Spectrum Castle is our gaming fantasy factory that can make any gamer’s dreams come true,” the company said in its weekly newsletter published on Thursday. “By collaborating with Spectrum as our official partner of the NRG Spectrum Castle, we’re taking our videos to the next level, fueled by the lightning fast connectivity that Spectrum provides to gamers nationwide.”

It also released the following video on X/Twitter:

NRG did not disclose what other ways the two companies would collaborate as part of this deal, but one would assume that Spectrum branding will be found throughout its compound, on social media, in content, and on team jerseys. NRG also hinted that a future announcement would reveal an “exciting new addition to our gaming playground at the NRG Spectrum Castle.”

Spectrum joins other NRG partners and sponsors including Carvana, Kia, Republic of Gamers, CDW, Army National Guard, DXRACER, Energizer, Hot Pockets, YoungLA, Rockstar Energy, Bonchon, Don’t Quit, and the Academy of Art University.

NRG currently competes in League of Legends Championship Series (LCS), Rocket League, Valorant, and Counter-Strike. It is also home to a number of popular content creators and the show, Full Squad Gaming.
