German esports organization Cologne Gaming Network (CGN Esports) announced Thursday that it has partnered with the European division of International gaming peripherals company Razer.
Financial terms and duration of this new partnership were not disclosed.
Under the terms of the deal, Razer will equip CGN’s professional Valorant and Fortnite players with its lineup of esports-specific gaming peripherals to use during competitions.
Further details about the partnership, such as if the companies will work together on marketing and social media campaigns, if CGN player jerseys will feature Razer branding, etc., were not revealed at press time. Razer Europe did say in a release that it “will benefit from the players’ expertise in the future development of esports peripherals.”
Founded in August of 2019 by Lucas Studt and Marcel Branscheidt, CGN Esports fields teams in Valorant (Challengers, Ascension), Fortnite, World of Warcraft, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in the DACH region, and is also home to 12 content creators. Razer joins CGN’s other partner, Germany-based eye care company Care Vision.
