Boston Breach and Boston Uprising parent company Oxygen Esports announced Tuesday that it has renewed and expanded its partnership with gaming-focused performance wearables company GamerTech.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
As part of the deal, GamerTech will—for a fourth year—as Oxygen Esports’ official performance apparel partner. In addition the companies will work together to create “performance and wellness wearables to gamers globally,” according to a release. This will include promotion of GamerTech’s flagship product, the Magma Glove, which is tentatively scheduled for launch sometime in early 2024.
That promotion includes logo placement on Oxygen team jerseys, marketing campaigns, logo integration on “in-game cosmetics,” and promotion during the Oxygen Esports-hosted Call of Duty Major I in early 2024.
The Magma Glove, which is described as a performance wearable that uses “intelligent thermotherapy to decrease warm-up time and reduce wear during extended gaming sessions,” will be released as a co-branded product.
GamerTech joins other Oxygen Esports sponsors and partners including Glytch, GEL Blaster, Dunkin’ Donuts, and ES Gaming.
