Infinite Reality, KOI Announce Amicable Separation

Metaverse company Infinite Reality and Barcelona-based esports organization KOI announced Friday evening that they plan to separate amicably at the conclusion of Worlds 2023 and each company will take control of their respective teams.

Financial details of this separation were not revealed at the time of writing.

For Infinite Reality’s wholly-owned subsidiary ReKTGlobal this means it will have complete ownership of its Call of Duty League (London Royal Ravens, who were recently moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, in September and rebranded as the Carolina Royal Ravens), Rocket League, Rainbow Six: Siege, and League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC) teams.

KOI will take complete ownership of its League of Legends LVP Superliga, FIFAe, and Valorant Champions Tour EMEA League (pending Riot approval) teams.

KOI and Infinite Reality signed a strategic agreement one year ago and rebranded Rogue as a “KOI” property. With this split there is a good possibility that the team will return to its original name and branding, but TEA can not independently verify that one way or the other, as of this writing.
