The Esports Awards Partners With Logitech G, LIV Golf, and Gillette

The Esports Awards announced Tuesday that it has renewed its partnership with Logitech gaming peripherals brand Logitech G and that it has partnered with global gold league LIV Golf for its annual celebrity golf event.  Also announced Tuesday as a partner is men’s grooming brand, Gillette.

Financial terms of these partnerships were not disclosed.

Under the terms of its deal with Logitech, the Logitech G brand will serve as the official PC hardware partner of the 2023 edition of the Esports Awards, which takes place later this week. In addition, the brand will also serve as the official PC hardware partner of “a world record attempt” by Fortnite pro Kyle ‘Bugha’ Giersdorf, taking place immediately after the Esports Awards main ceremony. Logitech G will also present the Esports Team of the Year award. 

The Esports Awards’ new partnership with LIV Golf will see both companies work together to facilitate this year’s Esports Awards Open golf event, which will take place at the Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort in Las Vegas later this week. This year marks the third iteration of the Esports Awards Open, which puts influencers, professional esports players, sports stars, and pro golfers together for a day of golf.  

LIV Golf is backed by the Saudi sovereign wealth fund, the Public Investment Fund, which also owns Savvy Games Group and ESL FACEIT Group. Saudi Arabia leader, Crown Prince HRH Mohammed bin Salman (MBS), serves as the chairman of Savvy Games Group.

As part of the partnership, Gillette will present the Esports Awards pre-show and introduce transitions between segments of the main ceremony called “Gillette Resets.” Gillette will also contribute to Project Love, a “welcome initiative” by the Esports Awards for nominees, guests, and other VIPs attending the event.

On a related note, The Esports Awards announced the talent taking the stage during this year’s awards show including Elyse “Herculyse” Herrera, Salome “Soe” Gschwind-Repp, Evan “Raynday” Raynr, and Phil “EEVisu” Visum working the red carpet prior to the main awards ceremony; Daniel “dGon” Gonzales, Lottie Van-Praag, Caleb “WavePunk” Simmons, and James Dashserving as pre-awards show hosts; and Alex “Goldenboy” Mendez and Miles Ross serving as main awards show hosts.

Lexus is serving as the presenting sponsor and is joined by other partners and sponsors including Xfinity, Oakley, 5GRV, and XIX Vodka, among others.

The Scholars Awards—the inaugural awards to honor players, coaches, and schools participating in the collegiate esports space—will take place on Nov. 27 and Nov. 28, while the main awards show will take place Nov. 29  and Nov. 30.
