Chicago-based LeagueSpot announced Thursday that it has renewed its partnership with Oklahoma City, Oklahoma-based Epic Charter Schools.

Financial terms and duration of the deal were not disclosed.

Under the terms of this renewed deal, LeagueSpot will continue to work with the “virtual and blended learning program” for K-12 students to create and deploy gaming and esports programs to nearly “30,000 Epic Charter Schools students.”

Those programs include competitions in popular game titles, as well as activities that promote collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking skills. In its announcement, LeagueSpot said that participation in Epic Charter Schools’ gaming and esports programs “more than doubled from 2022 to 2023 as teachers, students, and parents embrace[d] the benefits of educational-based activities.”

LeagueSpot generally works at the enterprise level to provide the platform, tools, and other support to create esports programs for young people in the United States. Many of its partnerships are regional in nature; over the years it has worked with the State University of New York (SUNY), YMCA of Greater Omaha, Washington State Scholastic Esports Association (WSSEA), Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC),and the Boys & Girls Club of King County. It also works with a number of national organizations including Playfy Esports and XP League, among others.
