Mumbai-based esports and gaming social platform Qlan announced Tuesday that it has secured a $200K USD investment from a pre-seed funding round, with participation from Marwah Sports, CIIE.CO, and Faad Network. This is the first time the company has secured outside funding, having begun its journey fully self-funded.
Qlan co-founder and CEO Sagar Nair said in a release that this pre-seed funding round signifies the beginning of expansion plans for the platform, and will allow the company to “enhance gamer networking, discovery, and content creation capabilities.”
Qlan has been downloaded more than 100,000 times and has more than 50,000 active users in India, Asia Pacific, Europe, the Americas, South Africa, and MENA regions. In the second half of 2022, Qlan began a six-month beta test before releasing a final version of the platform in January.
