ESL FACEIT Group (EFG) announced Friday that the ESEA League will be utilizing the FACEIT tournament platform with the next season, which officially launches in August. ESL FACEIT is describing this transition as a “merger,” though the league will maintain its “current slots and structure,” and the ESEA website will live on as an archive of past Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) competitions.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The league, dedicated to grassroots global CS:GO competitions, will kick off Season 46 in August and will feature a $200K USD prize pool.

It is clear that ESL FACEIT values the anti-cheat  framework the league has built into its platform that has been around since 2003, and will work with it to bring that technology to the FACEIT platform.
