Longtime FaZe Clan Head of Communications Chelsey Northern Exits Company

Longtime FaZe Clan Head of Communications Chelsey Northern has left the LA-based esports and gaming lifestyle organization to focus her efforts on the PR firm she launched in 2022 called The Untold. Northern had been working concurrently with both companies since it launched, but it is unclear if she moved to her agency full-time because she made a decision to do so or due to budget cuts/staff reductions at FaZe Clan. The Esports Advocate has reached out to Northern for more information and will update this story if more information becomes available.

Northern spent more than three years at FaZe, serving as the point of contact for media, handling the public relations department team, overseeing marketing, and dealing with crisis management from time to time during some of the organization’s most controversial moments.

In 2022, she founded The Untold, a PR and marketing firm that aims to promote the “untold stories” of its clients to the media. The company claims that it “specializes in vision planning – working closely with teams to shape their storytelling roadmap.” Its current list of clients include FaZe Clan, Deadfellaz, Web3 gaming company Futurverse, Atlantic Records, and Warner Music Group, among others.

The company was co-founded by Northern (who will serve as CEO) and Elana Weiss-Rose (who is also the co-founder of her own firm, The Rose Group Public Relations & Marketing), and is being supported by current Boardroom Web3 & Tech Reporter Michelai A. Graham and Futureverse Co-Founder Shara Senderoff, according to a social media post by Northern.
