The Esports Advocate has learned that longtime Nerd Street Gamers Chief Operating Officer & Chief Financial Officer Tom McCracken left the company in March to join Philadelphia-based multinational lifestyle clothing retailer Urban Outfitters.
McCracken joined the Philadelphia-based tournament organizer and esports venue company in November of 2019 as CFO and was quickly elevated to take on an additional role as COO in September of 2020. He spent more than three years at Nerd Street before his exit last month, and from what we have been told the split was amicable.
He joins Urban outfitters as its new senior finance director.
Prior to joining Nerd Street, McCracken spent more than 12 years at Moorestown, New Jersey-based online maternity & nursing apparel retailer Destination Maternity Corp. (the parent company of Motherhood Maternity and A Pea in the Pod) as senior VP of finance.
