Report: TSM Hitting Pause on Some Esports Efforts

According to a report from Sports Business Journal Esports Reporter Kevin Hitt, Los Angeles-based esports organization TSM will be pausing some of its esports efforts in several titles and is considering putting its League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) franchise up for sale, according to multiple sources. TSM currently competes in Fortnite, Valorant, Apex Legends (it operates a ALGS team and then an all-women squad, which we detailed in this story recently), and League of Legends.

According to sources speaking to Hitt, the company took a financial hit when its 10-year, $210M USD deal with now-bankrupt cryptocurrency exchange FTX collapsed.

The company will continue to develop and operate its Blitz gaming application, sources tell Hitt.

The Esports Advocate has reached out to TSM for an official comment on this story and will updated if more information becomes available.
