Misfits Gaming Group announced Monday that content creator Forrest Waldron (better known to his legion of fans as “KreekCraft“) has joined the organization as creative director and co-founder of a new Roblox-focused game studio called Pixel Playground. Earlier this month Misfits announced that Karl Jacobs joined the company as a co-owner and creative director.
Waldron will work alongside Jacobs at the studio to develop and deploy Roblox-related media and in-game content, with both retaining creative control of what the studio produces. Misfits will provide operational support and other critical resources, according to a release. The goal of the new studio, according to Misfits, is to create content “for players over 13 years of age by introducing game designs and modes that are tailored to a slightly older demographic.”
Waldron has a massive following in the Roblox community; he has 7.2M followers on YouTube, 1.2M on Twitter, 106K on Instagram, and his own merchandise shop at kreekshop.com. You can learn more about his plans with Misfits in this YouTube video from Sunday.
