Former Esports Engine Competitions Operations Manager Ali Rezvan recently joined the Esports Awards (ESA) as a producer. Rezvan, who also founded a fashion brand called September Doves in January 2021 and is the founder and managing director of Esports Fashion Week, worked at Vindex-owned esports production company Esports Engine in the aforementioned role for more than a year.

He has also done stints for PR firm Kairos Group, London-based esports organization HumaGG, and spent more than seven years in multiple roles at UK-based Gfinity.

ESA CEO Mike Ashford tells The Esports Advocate that Rezvan is no stranger to his company, having worked with him in the past during his stints at Gfinity and Esports Engine;

While at Gfinity he supported the awards multiple times from 2016 – 2018, and in 2018 he helped ESA on the red carpet during the fashion event he created, Esports Fashion week. Last year he served as a freelance producer for the first event in Las Vegas.

“We are incredibly excited about our plans for esports, competitive, mobile and collegiate gaming in 2023,” Ashford said. “Ali will be a vital member of the team helping to elevate our events and broadcasts.”

Rezvan tells TEA that Ashford made him an offer after his work on the 2022 awards, and he jumped at the chance:

“Having worked with Mike and the team a number of times over the last few years he approached me with the offer to lead our production and broadcast efforts towards the end of 2022,” he told TEA. “I’ve always been a big supporter of the awards and so I knew I couldn’t pass up the opportunity. In my role, My main focus will be on the production and broadcast of our events and how we can really start to elevate this for both our in-person viewers and fans tuning in from around the world.”

The 2023 Esports Awards will once again take place in Las Vegas sometime in November.
