Chris Overholt Stepping Down as CEO of OverActive Media

Chris Overholt is leaving publicly-traded esports organization OverActive Media (first spotted by SBJ Esports Reporter Kevin Hitt). Overholt spent more than four years as CEO and president of the Toronto-based owner of Overwatch League team Toronto Defiant, Call of Duty League team the Toronto Ultra, and Spanish esports organization MAD Lions.

Overholt is leaving to pursue other opportunities but will stay on for an additional 30 days in an advisory role. He’ll be replaced as interim-CEO by AOM Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer Adam Adamou as interim CEO.

Overholt joined OAM in September of 2018 and has been an integral part of the the organizations growth and survival during his tenure as the top executive. Prior to joining OAM Overholt worked in various executive roles as top sports organizations in the U.S. and Canada including the Canadian Olympic Committee, the Miami Dolphins, Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Raptors owner Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, and the Florida Panthers.
