Gaming and lifestyle organization XSET announced that it has hired Hollywood production veteran David Luce and promoted Jacob Arce to a new role. Luce joins the XSET team as its new chief content officer, charged with building the organization’s content studio—according to a release—while Arce has been appointed to head of esports, a promotion from his role as operations manager.
Luce is a veteran Hollywood producer and director who has worked at a number of production companies such as ITV Studios, B17 Entertainment, and 44 Blue Productions, among others. He has also worked on projects for distributors such as Netflix and Discovery, and partnered with brands such as Complex and The Dodo. In his new role, Luce will help XSET develop different kinds of original content (comedy, documentaries, etc.) that is tied to the organization, its players, content creators, and celebrities.
Arce, who joined XSET nearly three years ago, has worked for a number of companies as both a caster and a general manager including Turner, Major League Gaming, Ghost Gaming, and ESL FACEIT. In his new role, Arce will help players to improve competitively but also put an emphasis on XSET members creating personas outside of just pure gaming.
