G2 Esports has announced its entry into another Riot Games-owned competitive title. The organization that has established a legacy in League of Legends and Valorant will now compete in Riot’s autobattler title, Teamfight Tactics. On X, G2 announced the signing of four French players: Laurent ‘Pas de Bol’ Cidere, Muhammed ‘Canbizz’ Canbaz, alongside Emre ‘Double61’ Demirtas, and Enzo ‘Enzosx’ Bordonzotti. Canbaz and Demirtas previously competed for French organization Karmine Corp.

According to Liquipedia, this is the first time G2 Esports has fielded a roster in TFT since 2022.

Teamfight Tactics will be featured once again at the Esports World Cup in July 2026, offering a $500K prize pool. The competition will feature 16 teams, which will be selected through an open qualifier process. While TFT is typically an individual esport, the EWC will feature a team-based tournament format, requiring any organization wishing to participate to sign multiple players for the competitive season.

In addition to EWC, Riot Games supports its own competitive circuit for TFT. Each TFT set culminates in a Tactician’s Crown tournament, which is next set to take place at the end of March. The 2026 season will conclude with the Vegas Open in December.

Last year, a number of esports organizations made similar signings in individual esports and more niche titles once they had been confirmed as Esports World Cup disciplines.
