Wolves Esports announced Friday that it has partnered with Luna Esports to compete in EA Sports FC’s ePremier League in the UK.

Financial terms (if any) were not disclosed.

Diogo “Diogo” Mendes and Goncalo “RastaArtur” Pinto, the two players representing Wolves, are both members of Luna Esports, the Portuguese esports organization founded by footballer Diogo Jota in 2020. The organization, originally named Diogo Jota Esports, was rebranded to Luna Esports in 2023.

“I’m proud to make my debut in the ePL this season,” Pinto said. “Wolves is a club I feel a genuine affection for, and I’m excited to represent it with all my commitment. Reuniting with Diogo Mendes brings extra motivation, especially because of his character and personality. There’s also a special connection through Luna Esports. It’s Diogo Jota’s esports team and the club where he first made his name and that means a lot to us.”

The ePremier League group stage takes place Feb. 28 – March 1.

Wolves Esports is part of the Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club (Wolves), which currently competes in the English Premier League,  and in domestic cup competitions such as the FA Cup and the EFL Cup. Wolves Esports, which has deep roots in China, competes in a number of titles, including Call of Duty Mobile, Valorant, Honor of Kings, FIFA 4 Online, QQ Speed, Naraka: Bladepoint, and Identity V.

Luna Esports (formerly Luna Galaxy, and before that, Diogo Jota Esports) competes in EA Sports FC, Dota 2, Rocket League, and PUBG.
