Esports data and integrity provider Runestone announced Wednesday that it has expanded partnership with Portugal-based Counter-Strike 2 competition, Roman Imperium Cup.

Financial terms of this expanded deal were not disclosed.

Under the terms of this new deal Runestone has been named the official data partner of Roman Imperium Cup, with a “multi-event” commitment for 2026.

Roman Imperium Cup V will utilize Runestone’s data infrastructure to “protect the secure distribution of live match data,” according to the announcement.

Further, Runestone will provide integrity monitoring and advanced data solutions “designed to protect competitive fairness while delivering fans immersive, data-driven engagement tools.” Runestone added in its announcement that the partnership ensures that the “Roman Imperium Cup maintains the same standards of data security and broadcast innovation typically reserved for major-tier events.”

“Supporting tournaments at this stage of growth is core to our mission,” said Shane Clarke, managing director at Runestone. “Roman Imperium Cup represents the kind of competitive infrastructure that defines the next generation of Counter-Strike. Our partnership ensures they have the data foundation to meet that moment, whether it’s protecting competitive fairness or giving fans the interactive experience they expect from top-tier events.”

Roman Imperium Cup V is a Counter-Strike 2 competition featuring a total prize pool of €10,000 (roughly $12,000 USD). Teams competing at the event include 100 Thieves Roobet, ALGO Esports, BESTIA, BetBoom Team, Betclic Apogee, FC Famalicão Esports, FNATIC, Gentle Mates, EYEBALLERS, HOTU, Monte, Ninjas in Pyjamas, Oramond, Passion UA, Rebels Gaming, and SAW.

The competition is set to take place Feb. 19 – 22, at Saw Esports Arena in Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal. More information can be found at romanimperiumcup.com.
