Esports gaming data and betting technology platform GRID announced Thursday that it has signed a partnership with South Korean game publisher Smilegate to deliver official match data infrastructure and distribution for Crossfire’s esports ecosystem.

Financial terms of this new partnership were not disclosed.

Under the terms of this new deal, GRID will integrate with Crossfire to “capture and distribute live official match data, supporting commercial growth, fan engagement, and player experiences,” according to the announcement. Data from Crossfire will be available from GRID in 2026, though the company didn’t give a specific date on when this would happen and when its various partners would have access to it.

“GRID’s technology gives us new ways to engage players, enhance entertainment value, and innovate around our IP,” said Kihyoung Cho, SVP of Smilegate. “Crossfire has engaged more than one billion players worldwide, and we see official data distribution as a key part of how we continue to build our community and deliver exceptional experiences.”

GRID serves as the official data platform for a number of major esports titles and competitions, including League of Legends, Valorant, Rainbow Six Siege, and PUBG; and is a prominent data partner within the Counter-Strike 2 and Dota 2 esports ecosystems. The company signed deals with ESL FACEIT Group and Chinese tournament organizer Clavision in July 2025. Most recently, it announced a partnership with prediction market firm Forkast.

Released in 2007, Crossfire is a popular first-person shooter franchise, with more than one billion lifetime registered players across more than 80 countries, according to Smilegate. Further, Smilegate claims that Crossfire Stars, the franchise’s global esports league, has attracted more than one billion viewers and has a strong presence in SEA and LATAM.
