Amaree Tanawong joins GameSquare.

Publicly traded esports and gaming company GameSquare Holdings (NASDAQ:GAME) announced Wednesday that it has hired seasoned executive Amaree Tanawong as its new chief operating officer.

In her new role, Tanawong will focus on “cross-platform strategic planning, operational scalability, financial performance analytics, and execution discipline across GameSquare’s integrated ecosystem of media, creator, and technology assets,” according to the announcement.

Tanawong brings decades of experience to the GameeSquare team: she joins the company from entertainment company Meow Wolf, where she spent more than two years as its VP of strategic finance & operations. Prior to that, she spent more than a year at USC Marshall School of Business, where she served on corporate advisory board. Over the years Tanawong has held executive roles at YouTube, Fullscreen, Yahoo!, and EY (Earnest & Young).

“Amaree adds deep strategy and operating leadership to GameSquare at an important stage in our growth,” said Justin Kenna, CEO of GameSquare. “Her background across creator monetization, digital media, experiential platforms, and strategic finance makes her uniquely suited to help us scale efficiently, launch new revenue initiatives, and align execution with our long-term growth strategy. Her appointment, alongside our recent internal promotions and leadership additions, reflects our continued focus on strengthening GameSquare’s executive team as we scale our business.“
