KitKat expands Riot partnership to include VCT EMEA, Game Changers EMEA for 2026.

Riot Games announced Tuesday that KitKat will serve as an official partner of Valorant Esports in Europe, supporting both VCT EMEA and VCT Game Changers EMEA for the 2026 season.

Financial terms of this new deal were not disclosed.

Under this new deal with Valorant Esports in Europe, KitKat becomes an official Partner of VCT EMEA and Game Changers EMEA for the 2026 season. Part of that deal will see the KitKat brand help Riot provide in-game “breaks” during broadcast to provide “fun content between clutch plays and thrilling rounds.” Those breaks might take place during halftime, technical pauses, and tactical pauses, and other moments both planned and unplanned.

In addition, like its partnership with the LEC, the KitKat brand will be heavily promoted in video content, on social media, on marketing materials online and at LAN events, in various fan activations and events, and more.

KitKat is a snack brand owned by Nestlé, excluding the United States, where it is owned and operated by The Hershey Company. KitKat has been a longtime partner with Riot’s League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC); it signed its initial sponsorship deal with KitKat in 2020 and extended it into 2026 in January 2024.

The first major event on the Valorant esports calendar for Europe, VCT EMEA Kickoff, begins on Jan. 20. More details on that event can be found in this Riot Games Europe primer.
