League of Legends Champions Korea Cup coming to Hong Kong in March 2025.

Riot Games and Hong Kong-based Kai Tak Sports Park announced that the League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) Cup will be held at Kai Tak Arena in Hong Kong from Feb. 28 – March 1.

The Kai Tak Arena has a seating capacity of around 10,000 seats, depending on configuration. This move also represents the first time in the LCK’s history that a final has been held outside South Korea. Further, the top two ranked teams will also earn spots in the 2026 First Stand Tournament (FST) in Brazil, which is set to run from March 13-22.

The play-in stage of LCK has started from Jan. 14 at LoL PARK in Seoul, featuring 10 LCK teams—BRION, Dplus, DRX, FEARX, SOOPers, Gen.G Esports, Hanwha Life Esports, KT Rolster, Nongshim RedForce, and T1 Entertainment & Sports (T1). The competition also features 11 sponsors as of this writing, including Woori Bank, CHZZK, UPbit, POSCO, Cass, LG UltraGear, JW Pharmaceutical, Golden Dew, Logitech G, Secretlab, and cinema company CGV.

The city of Hong Kong has been actively involved in esports. Back in November 2025, global tournament organizer BLAST hosted its first BLAST Rivals Fall 2025 in the region in conjunction with the Esports Association of Hong Kong, China (ESAHK). The venue was AsiaWorld-Arena, which was crowded with a full audience everyday, sources close to BLAST and ESAHK told The Esports Advocate.
